Permit me to introduce to you Heritage Seminars, the accredited educational seminar to Eastern Europe now in cooperation with Keshet, The Center for Educational Tourism, and The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, in the hope that you may wish to take advantage of this unique program. Heritage explores Jewish ancestral roots, and researches sources of Jewish life in Eastern Europe. We are now beginning our 19th season of programming in Eastern Europe. Heritage was conceived as a seminar with special emphasis on the richness of Eastern European Jewry’s life before WW II and the demise of that life during the Holocaust. Heritage Seminars has served the educational needs of over 8,000 students from 30 One-Year Programs in Israel, 4 Universities, 5 high schools in the USA and a developing list of adult groups The seminar includes extensive on-site investigation, strictly kosher food, resident historian, medical, and security staff.
While thousands of young adults have visited the commemorative sites in Poland, many parents, grandparents and other adults have never been offered the opportunity to attend such a program. Heritage programs Adult Seminars, tailored to the specific needs of adult group settings. We have coordinated seminars for Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun (now for the third time), AACI, American Committee for Shaare Zedek Medical Center, Young Israel of Oceanside, The Clearview / Young Israel Hillcrest Adult Group, A group from the Young Israel of Plainview and Rinat in Teaneck, Magen David Yeshiva Adult Group, and several Family Experience Seminars.
