    UNIVERSITY PROGRAMS

Heritage was conceived as a seminar with special emphasis on the cultural richness of Eastern European Jewry before the war and their demise during the Holocaust. Heritage is not simply a "concentration camp" tour- although extensive study time takes place at Treblinka, Majdanek, Plaszow, Auschwitz and Birkenau. Full study days are spent in Warsaw, Cracow, Lublin, and the "shetlach" of Galicia. Evening programs and analysis takes place each day.

Heritage Seminars are designed for University students, and adults. Affiliates include the Israel Studies Institute, and the StudentsHebrew University of Jerusalem. Students registering for the seminar who attend the Rothberg School for Overseas Students at Hebrew University may receive 2 credits of History from the university.

Heritage Seminars excel at meticulous planning in the areas of curriculum, resource materials, logistics, staffing, kashrut requirements, medical and security needs and orientation. All seminars are accompanied by holocaust witnesses, resident medical and Israeli security staff.

Heritage has refined a specialized approach that reflects a balance between academic study, attention to the emotional sites in Poland, the study of sources and personalities and the demise of Jewish life during the Holocaust. To date, Heritage has served the needs of over 5000 students from 35 participating schools in Israel and the USA.
